Important Studio Update

The pandemic that has affected life for all of us brought things to a point where we must make some changes in order to survive. Our landlords, Juan and Stefani Trujillo, own the building that houses the Yoga Gallery, Physiques and the Kansas School of Classical Ballet. They have been incredibly generous and kind in working with us to find a solution to the impact that COVID-19 has had on our business. From the time we moved into this studio, we joined them in their vision of holding a space of wellness, wholeness and health for our community. Physiques, where they offer pilates and gyrotonics, has been serving clients for over 14 years and the Kansas School of Classical Ballet offers some of the finest (award winning)  ballet training to be found.

The Yoga Gallery will become part of the Physiques family. Our studio space is now being used to allow for social distancing for the pilates and gyrotonics clients and the ballet school will offer space for our yoga classes to be held in a safer, socially distant manner. The exact procedures are still being developed as we want to offer the safest possible environment for you to practice together.

The schedule of classes will initially be abbreviated as we explore the ability to bring people in and out of the building safely. We still do not have a firm date for classes to resume but are hoping for early July.

In order for the smoothest transition from Yoga Gallery as a stand alone entity to one that is part of the Physiques family, we feel the best thing to do is to close out the current passes and allow people to make choices as to what sort of class pass to buy based on the new schedule. Once the new schedule is determined we will let you all know. It will be posted on the website, social media and emailed and at that time you can buy classes. In the meantime we need the following to happen:

Class Passes & Refunds

  • If you have a class pass with unexpired outstanding classes, you may request a refund by emailing patti@yogallery.com. Checks will be mailed out, so please include your mailing address. Our resources are limited and those of you who choose to forfeit your classes will be helping us meet the expenses of this transfer and the past three months of no revenue. Refunds will be offered until June 20 at which time we will be shutting down the current passes on MindBody to prepare for the changeover. Your information will be maintained on MindBody and the same system will be used for the future but all classes from here forward will be on a new pass.

Mat Pick-up

  • Personal mat pickup. For those of you with mats stored at the studio, we need you to come by and get your mat.  Due to the virus we do not anticipate having mat storage available when the classes resume, though that could change in the future. Someone will be at the studio on the following days for you to retrieve your mat:

~Saturday, June 6 -   2 pm to 4 pm

~Tuesday, June 9 -    4 pm to 6 pm

~Wednesday, June 10, - 4 pm to 6 pm

~Saturday, June 13 - 9 am to 11 am

  • If you cannot come at any of those times, email patti@yogallery.com and we will find a way to get your mat to you. We will keep the unclaimed mats for awhile in case you missed the pickup times. You can email patti@yogallery.com or pjfuhrman@gmail.com to make other arrangements.

We know that change is difficult and we are feeling that too. We are so pleased and grateful that the Yoga Gallery has a chance to live on in this new incarnation and hope you will be there when the new class schedule is determined and continues to unfold. We know this new structure will retain the high quality of teaching, the genuine intention to hold a place for exceptional instruction and practice and the sense of community that has sustained us all these years. We hope to see you soon!

Love from the YG team and Physiques, KC
